For our final Let’s Talk T1D of 2021, we are pleased to offer an informative and engaging discussion that will both commemorate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin and provide info on the most current and promising diabetes research.
The discovery of insulin remains one of the most important scientific breakthroughs in the medical field. Called Canada’s gift to the world, while there have been many advancements in technology and delivery of insulin over the past 100 years; either by injection or pump, it remains the only treatment for T1D.
We will discuss the latest T1D research into screening, prevention and potential cure-based therapies, and what JDRF is doing to accelerate progress and move us beyond insulin and towards a world free from type 1 diabetes.
This webinar is intended for people living with type 1 diabetes, parents, family members and healthcare professionals with an interest in T1D.
