Community activities
Community and belonging is a key tenet of Breakthrough T1D’s commitment to improving the lives of people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) today, while we work towards cures. We partner with dedicated volunteer committees to organize local community activities for both adults and families affected by T1D. The type of activities vary by community, as they are hosted and run by amazing volunteer groups.

T1D Adult Meet Up
Location: Edmonton & Area, Alberta
Date: Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 1pm MST
Where: Rec Room South Edmonton Common – 1725 99 Street NW

T1D Family Meet Up
Location: Edmonton & Area, Alberta
Date: Tuesday April 28, 2026 at 6pm-8pm MST
Where: Gratitude Coffee – 897 Pembina Rd #151, Sherwood Park, AB

Cost: General $15 ($16 at gate), Youth (4–11) $13 ($14 at gate), Youth under 4 Free
