Breakthrough T1D Education Series: Self-Management and T1D

When: Tuesday, November 26, 2024, 7:00 p.m. EST (French), 8:00 p.m. EST (English)

Where: Microsoft Teams (a link will be sent after registration)

Who: Hosted by Breakthrough T1D and featuring Anne Marie MacDonald, Breakthrough T1D staff member and MD who has been living with type 1 diabetes for over 35 years

As part of our ongoing Breakthrough T1D educational series, and to recognize National Diabetes Awareness Month in November, this free information session will discuss all things related to T1D management.

Living with T1D; whether you are newly diagnosed or have had the disease for years, comes with countless choices that must be made every day.

During this fireside style chat, we will host an open discussion on diabetes devices, (i.e. pumps vs pens vs multiple daily injections), device fatigue and when to take tech breaks, and how to recognize if you are experiencing diabetes distress, a condition associated with the stress of T1D management.

We’re very excited to have Dr. Anne Marie MacDonald to help lead the discussion. Living with a chronic disease can be challenging and at times, overwhelming, but we hope to provide some useful information and support to help you better navigate T1D.

The event is open to all. We hope to see you there.
